Halo classes

MS & Well Being

The MS & Well Being class is a class for a range of people living with either MS or age/disability related mobility issues. The class mainly focuses on maintaining and improving range of movement, flexibility, posture. stability and motor skills and is not intended to be fast paced or energetic. The class is mainly performed seated with the option to stand or remain seated for the leg section at the end. Whilst the principles remain the same, the class content can vary from week to week and include work with exercise bands, soft balls, dumbbells and sometimes large fitness balls. The class ends with a five minute relaxation section to help relieve tension and focus the mind.

It is hoped with regular attendance to see either maintenance or improvement in posture, range of movement, co-ordination and flexibility – all beneficial to an independent daily life. Over time you should start to feel and see the physical benefits of regular exercise whilst also making new friends in a safe and comfortable environment.

Why not come along and give it a try? There is always a friendly welcome and as we are all different you can work to a level that suits you. For more information on this and other Halo classes please visit their website HERE or view the specific centre information below.
